No. You can self-refer and book directly with Serenity Ultrasound without a GP referral.

Yes. Ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive imaging technique that does not use radiation. All blood tests are carried out following strict clinical and laboratory standards.

All scans are performed by HCPC registered, NHS-experienced sonographers in our CQC regulated clinic.

For most scans, results are explained during your appointment and provided as a digital report the same day. Blood test turnaround times vary depending on the test, and this will be explained at booking.

If any concerns are identified, our healthcare professionals will explain the findings clearly and advise appropriate follow-up, including referral to your GP or specialist services if required.

No. Our services provide additional reassurance, monitoring, and early insight but do not replace NHS care. We work alongside NHS services and encourage sharing reports with your GP.

Yes. We welcome partners or a small number of guests, depending on the appointment type and clinic capacity.

Preparation depends on the type of scan or test you are booking. Any specific instructions, such as bladder preparation or fasting, will be provided when you book.
