Pregnancy Blood Tests
Price From – £129
Private pregnancy blood tests are recommended for any expectant mother who would like faster, more comprehensive reassurance alongside routine NHS antenatal care.
They are especially valuable if you want to confirm your baby's gender early, wish to access advanced screening such as NIPT, or have risk factors including anaemia, thyroid disease, vitamin deficiency, or previous pregnancy complications.
Many families choose to combine blood tests with ultrasound scans for the most comprehensive reassurance, as this establishes accurate gestation and ensures the timing is correct for blood tests.
OUR SERVICES
Early Gender Blood Test (from 6 Weeks)
£159 - With Scan- book now
£129 - Blood test only- book now
Our early gender blood test allows families to find out their baby's sex from as early as 6 weeks of pregnancy.
The test works by analysing fragments of fetal DNA circulating in the mother's blood. By detecting the presence or absence of Y chromosomes, the test can accurately determine whether you are expecting a boy or a girl. Accuracy is up to 99.9% when performed at the correct gestation.
If the test is taken before 6 weeks, results may not be reliable. This is why we recommend combining it with an early reassurance ultrasound scan to confirm your gestation so the blood test is performed at the optimal time.
When Can It Be Done?
The early gender blood test can be carried out from 6 weeks of pregnancy. We strongly recommend combining it with a Private Early Pregnancy Reassurance Scan beforehand to confirm your gestation and ensure the test is performed at the right stage for the most accurate results.
Results are typically available within 3-5 working days, giving you early and reliable answers without any risk to your baby.
What to Expect
A small blood sample is taken from your arm by our clinical team. The sample is then sent to our accredited laboratory for analysis. The process is quick and straightforward, and you can carry on with your normal activities immediately afterwards.
Results are sent to you digitally once available. Our team will be happy to answer any questions you have about your results.

When Can It Be Done?
NIPT can be carried out from 10 weeks of pregnancy. Performing the test earlier may affect accuracy, which is why a Private Early Pregnancy Reassurance Scan is strongly recommended beforehand. The scan confirms that your pregnancy is developing normally in the womb, establishes gestation, and ensures you are at the right stage for accurate results. This combination gives both medical reassurance and diagnostic accuracy.
Results for NIPT are usually ready within 5-7 working days, offering parents advanced reassurance early in pregnancy without the risks associated with invasive procedures.
What to Expect
A small blood sample is taken from your arm by our clinical team and sent to our accredited laboratory. The test is completely safe and non-invasive, with no risk to you or your baby.
Results are typically returned within 5-7 working days and sent to you digitally. Our team is available to discuss your results and advise on next steps if needed.
